Integrated Sustainable Building Design/Architectural Design HVAC & other Building Service Systems

General Guidelines

The category of ISBD is intended for undergraduate or graduate students of mixed disciplines with enough training to work collaboratively on the building and mechanical and electrical systems design. ASHRAE recommends that the project teams for the Integrated Sustainable Building Design (ISBD) category consist of at least three members with education covering architecture/construction, mechanical (HVAC), engineering and electrical engineering. Additional team members with backgrounds in water supply/sewage systems, fire protection & safety, environmental protection, information technology, business, and management could be very helpful to cover the "whole building" content. Team members can attend different schools/colleges.
